The Entertainment trip of a lifetime

There is no doubt that everyone is looking for that trip of a lifetime and looking ahead to 2022, the World Cup could just provide that. It is set to take place in Qatar between the 21st of November, before finishing on the 18th December. It will also be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and there are huge expectations that it is going to be very special. NetBet sport are already offering odds on the event, with the likes of Brazil, France, Germany and Spain all amongst the favourites for the title.
The trip to Qatar could provide the entertainment trip of a lifetime and we are going to see people travelling over from around the world. It will be like no other World Cup before it, so here we have covered seven steps to help you attend the World Cup next year.

  • Step 1 – Budget
There is no doubt that it can be pricey, so it is important to ask yourself what your budget is in advance.  But you can adjust your choices based around your budget and if you are a regular traveller then you can look at utilizing hotel points or even airline miles if you have them.
  • Step 2 – Priorities
You should then determine what your priorities are and what you value the most. Is it watching a specific team or match, or do you want to visit certain cities? Or is it a combination and/or the length of stay. Once this is decided, you can then start planning the next steps of the trip.
  • Step 3 – Game Tickets
There are multiple phases of tickets that go on for sale, these being the pre-draw, post-draw and then the first come first serve. You should look at the official site, to see the exact dates of ticket sales.
  • Step 4 – Travel Documents
Once you have sorted your tickets and plans for the trip, you then need to acquire travel documents. This will include the likes of your passport, visa documents and there may even be a special FIFA visa that is required for the event. Restrictions and rules vary on the venue for the World Cup, so it is worth keeping a look out for the restrictions that are put in place in Qatar.
  • Step 5 – Transportation
Transportation can be another important step and can result in large costs if not sorted in advance. Flights will obviously be the huge portion of the budget but if you are having to travel to multiple cities, then you could look at renting a car, rather than taxi journeys that can be very pricey.
  • Step 6 – Accommodation
Accommodation can be a major challenge at World Cup’s due to the amount of people travelling over for the event. FIFA offers official recommendation for accommodation, but it all depends on your budget. You should look at booking early and use the likes of B&B’s and Airbnb’s, to get the best offers.
  • Step 7 – The trip of a lifetime
Life is about experiences and if you plan with all the steps above, then you can create a trip of a lifetime at the World Cup in 2022.
